Houghton Saddlery in Launceston and Tom Willcocks Equestrian Supplies in Plympton have both offered GWHC members discount when shopping in their shops. We are unsure how much is being offered at Houghton but 10% off is being offered at Tom Willcocks. Just let the sales assistant know that you are a club member. We have received a letter from the air ambulance thanking the club for the £45 donation from the Easter Hall Park raffle. The committee has decided to hold a raffle at one of our club events each year solely for this worthy cause as it cost 2.2 million a year to keep both Devon air ambulances in the air, a huge sum of money I’m sure you’ll agree. John Horne and Helen Cobbold are both standing down at next years AGM, do you know of anyone who might like to joins us or would you yourself? Contact a committee member for more details. At the last meeting we co-opted Jennifer Collie onto the committee, we welcome Jennifer and think she will be a great asset to our club. For those of you who don’t know Jennifer she can quite often be seen out helping Penny Bragg or back stepping for Anne Briggs at events. Do you have an email address? If you are a member of the club, one of our regular stewards or helpers, or maybe you’d just like to kept informed of future club events? If you have an email address please email it to markmax@perrymeade.freeserve.co.uk and we will add you to our mailing list and we can then keep you up to date with all the club news and events. Don’t forget our end of season supper on the 3rd November at The Holne Park Hotel with Bob Elliot as our after dinner speaker, tickets are £20 a head. Contact Maxine Ingham for more details on 01752 851640. We have some excellent raffle prizes for the night but if you’d like to bring one along all will be very gratefully received! Newsletter. In view of current postage and production costs and the fact that we are struggling at times to fill the newsletter with current articles, we are going to send out our bi-monthly newsletter by email (words only) and place a full copy with more pictures on the web site. A hard copy will be posted out in December with voting/AGM/rule changes etc in it. By having everyone’s email address it will be very easy for us to update the membership with any changes/ events or news that are happening while still relevant. You should receive a telephone call over the next week or so from one of our committee to check your email address, if you do not for some reason you can email your address to markmax@perrymeade.freeserve.co.uk For those of you who do not have a computer you will still receive your copy by post.
